Deux séances d'Essais des vendredi et samedi après-midi sous une forte chaleur....Pôle de Jim CLARK comme Graham HILL mais départagé par le chronomètre au centième de seconde.... CLARK allait partir avec la Voiture de son coéquipier, Trévor TAYLOR car la sienne avait des problèmes de boîte et de moteur, Colin CHAPMAN peu avant la course jugeant que la cause en était l'additif ajouté dans l'huile de transmission pour la 1ère fois, il décide de changer les boîtes avec toutes les aides disponibles pour aider les mécaniciens....
Course : Bruce McLAREN part avec le mulet.... Excellent Départ de CLARK mais G.HILL mène a la fin du 1er Tour, CLARK stoppe au 3ème Tour, repart mais Abandonne au 13ème Tour, court-circuit..... Abandon au 16ème Tour de Maurice TRINTIGNANT allumage de Tony SETTEMBER au 19ème Tour, moteur de TAYLOR au 26ème Tour, transmission de Roy SALVADORI au 42ème Tour...... Grosse bagarre pour la 2ème Place entre Richie GINTHER et John SURTEES mais ce dernier Abandonnera lui aussi au 42ème Tour, piston........ Abandon aussi de Innes IRELAND au 46ème Tour, bras de direction desserré de Ricardo RODRIGUEZ au 64ème Tour, moteur et de Dan GURNEY au 67ème Tour, couple conique....
