Aux Essais, Dan GURNEY casse son moteur 32 soupapes alors que John SURTEES fait le meilleur temps, Richie GINTHER casse une soupape...Jim CLARK prend la Pôle le lendemain, GINTHER casse un piston le samedi.....
Course : Les Pilotes pressés prirent le Départ dès la Prégrille.... CLARK part en tête, alors que SURTEES a des problèmes d'embrayage, avant de remonter tous le monde et prendre la tête au 11ème Tour, avant de retrouver les problèmes d'embrayage et de devoir Abandonner au 35ème Tour..... Abandon de Giorgio BASSI au 9ème Tour, moteur pour son seul GP, Giancarlo BAGHETTI au 13ème Tour, moteur, Ronnie BUCKNUM au 27ème Tour, moteur.... CLARK retrouve la tête, avec Jackie STEWART, Graham HILL et GURNEY mais en prenant un Tour a des retardataires ce dernier resta bloqué derrière.... CLARK allait casser son moteur, pompe à essence mais sera Classé alors que les 2 BRM étaient autorisées a augmenter leur régime moteur...... Abandon de " GEKI " au 38ème Tour, boîte de vitesses de Jo SIFFERT au 44ème Transmission, Frank GARDNER, allumage et Dennis HULME, châssis au 47ème Tour....les 2 BRM luttaient alors pour la tête et c'est STEWART après une erreur de Graham HILL qui part en travers après être passer large sur du gravier, allait gagner sa 1ère Victoire devant HILL en colère qu'ils n'y aient pas eu des consignes d'Equipe....
Récapitulatif : 26 Engagés dont 1 Nouveau pour sa seule Course avec 12 Equipes sur 13 Voitures différentes.... Pôle de CLARK.... 23 Pilotes au Départ sur 9 lignes de 3 puis 2 Pilotes.... Podium : 1ère Victoire pour STEWART devant HILL et GURNEY, 14 Classés et 9 Abandons, 3 Forfaits... Meilleur Tour de CLARK.... Au classement : CLARK est en tête devant HILL et STEWART.....
