MERCEDES profilée sauf pour Hans HERRMANN, qui l'a gagnée à l'issue d'un duel avec Hermann LANG... Alberto ASCARI est chez FERRARI.... MASERATI bleue pour Louis ROSIER mais casse dès les Essais alors une rouge... Pôle pour Juan Manuel FANGIO....
Course : Au Départ c'est Karl KLING en tête mais au 4ème Tour, il sort de la Piste.... Abandon de Jean BEHRA au 3ème Tour, culbuteur....FANGIO ce retrouve en tête mais ASCARI profite du Circuit d'aspirations pour le doubler il était 4ème... Luigi VILLORESI en pleine forme remonte en 4ème Position.... Abandon de José-Froilan GONZALEZ casse de sa boite de vitesses au 14ème Tour il reprend la Voiture de Umberto MAGLIOL, de Robert MANZON dans le même Tour, moteur.... Abandon de Luigi MUSSO au 35ème Tour, transmission de Roberto MIERES, suspension dans le même Tour ....KLING casse un triangle de suspension, sort de la Piste et Abandonne au 38ème Tour, Luigi VILLORESI Abandonne a son tour, embrayage au 43ème Tour... Stirling MOSS est en tête tandis que ASCARI Abandonne, au 49ème Tour, moteur..... GONZALEZ revient mais rentre au Stand et redonne la Voiture a MAGLIOLI car il est intoxiqué par son échappement cassé, MOSS en tête prend de l'avance, jusqu'à 20 secondes.... quand une canalisation d'huile casse.... il revient au ralenti, stoppe et attends l'arrivée Victorieuse de FANGIO pour pousser sa MASERATI jusqu'à la ligne...
